Dos & Don’ts
At Dearness Medical Practice we are committed to providing a respectful, safe, and supportive environment for both our patients and our team. We kindly ask that you review the following guidelines to help us serve you efficiently and respectfully.
Dos
Please be patient with us. Our phone lines can become very busy. If you leave a voicemail, we will return your call as soon as possible.
Follow up on your results. It is your responsibility to follow up with your doctor regarding test results and investigation outcomes.
Stay informed. Visit our website regularly for updates, clinic hours, and important information.
Share your feedback. We welcome your input as we continually strive to improve our services.
Don’ts
Do not engage in disrespectful or aggressive behaviour. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for harassment, intimidation, or abusive conduct toward our physicians or staff. Our team deserves a safe and respectful workplace at all times.
Please do not leave multiple voicemails. We aim to return calls within 1–2 business days and appreciate your patience and trust while we respond.
Do not email confidential medical information or images. For privacy and security reasons, these emails will be deleted and not acted upon. Please consult your doctor regarding the most secure method of communication.

This information may include contact details, health history, and other relevant medical information required for treatment.
All personal health information is handled with strict confidentiality and is stored securely. Access is limited to authorized healthcare professionals and staff who require the information to provide care or support clinic operations.
We do not share personal information without consent except where required or permitted by law. Patients have the right to request access to their personal health information and to ask for corrections if needed.

Dearness Medical Practice has wheelchair-accessible entrances and accessible washroom facilities, and we strive to ensure that our clinic space is comfortable and accessible for all patients.

After-Hours Clinic in Baseline
After-Hours Clinic for enrolled patients only.
This clinic is not for medical emergencies.
The After hours clinic is meant to treat semi-acute or acute ailments appropriately treated out of usual office hours in an office setting. It is not a substitute for obtaining ongoing scheduled medical care provided by the individual’s physician. It is not meant to ‘fast track’ routine care provided in your doctor’s office during his/her regularly scheduled hours. It is not for chronic disease management. Insurance and other third-party forms, reports, etc. will not be completed.
Prescriptions for narcotics or other controlled substances will not be given as they must be obtained through the patients’ own physician.
